Two industrial Kern Laser Systems cut and etch acrylic up to 1 in thick, plus wood and other non-metal sheet stock — a clean, flame-polished edge straight off the bed.
A CO₂ laser melts the edge as it cuts, so acrylic comes off the bed with a glass-clear, flame-polished finish and no separate edge-finishing step. That makes it the right call for fine-detail work — dimensional lettering, intricate award shapes, engraving — that a router bit cannot reach into.
Running two systems means a rush job does not have to wait behind a long production run on the other machine.

Yes — send engrave lines and cut lines on separate layers and we will sequence them so engraving happens before the part cuts free.
Usually not — the laser leaves a flame-polished edge on its own. Diamond polishing is for edges that were routed or need a mirror finish beyond what the laser leaves.
